the power of chakra balancing
Our bodies have hundreds of energy centers located throughout our bodies. Each one governs an area of the body and an area of our lives. These "energy centers" are invisible portals that allow the flow of energy to and from our bodies and they are called "chakras". They are real. They operate like whirling vortices in a vortex like motion. These vortices each swirl at the same pace, but at a different vibration and frequency. Each frequency has different wavelengths and shows up and operates as a different color - similar to a rainbow only most cannot see these colors with their naked eye. At times, a chakra may swirl faster or slower than it should or in an irregular motion. When this happens it is unbalanced and you physically or emotionally will feel the effects. You will continue to attract more circumstances of the imbalance.
There are many chakra systems, the mainstream view is made up seven, but I will talk of eight primary centers located along the front and back of our body following our spinal column. It is usually talked about having seven primary and hundreds of secondary chakras that keep the body running like a well tuned car. The seven are: root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown. The eighth one, not usually mentioned, is the soul chakra or star seed located above the crown (see the illustration above).
This perfectly designed system helps the body stay physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually healthy and free of disease. Each of the main chakras, have elements, glands and organs connected to them that drive the body.
1st Chakra- Root or Muladhara
This is the foundation of our entire chakra system upon which the other chakras rest. It is located at the base of the spine at the adrenals between the anus and the perineum. It represents the element earth and all things solid and earthly such as our bodies, blood, health, food, sex, survival, material and money items and our ability to focus and manifest all that we need. Here is what allows us feel connected to the earth (grounded) and safe. Family, loyalty, security, physical survival, health, sexuality, worthiness (the right to be here, the right to have), lust and fear are a few of the key issues related to our root chakra. Maybe you never feel safe at some level- in your job, relationship or finances... you never have enough money (no matter what you do you can never get ahead). If you are struggling in your relationship especially with trust, it is the root where you need to focus on.
Our sexual energy rests here and is stored here. If you experience anxiety, fear, colon or bladder problems, lower back problems, eating disorders or have a negative outlook on sexuality, the root chakra must be balanced.
2nd Chakra- Sacral or Svadisthana
This chakra is our "sweetest abode" or "ones own place" (joy and enthusiasm). The main purpose of the sacral chakra is to let go and create flow. Located two inches below the navel at the lower abdomen, areas such as kidneys, genitals, womb, and circulatory system are ruled. It is orange in color and it's element is water. It's function is desire, pleasure, sexuality and reproduction. Creative expression and how you feel i.e. emotions, sensuality, intimacy, pleasure are all governed by Svadisthana. Relationships, violence or volatile emotions, lust, addictions, guilt, toxic relationships, drama, trying to control life or others, apathy, reproductive, sexual and digestive issues, are all associated with this chakra.
Are you blocked in this chakra? Do you find yourself in and attracting unhealthy relationships? Are you emotionally detached to people or do you sense their emotions? Are you lacking vitality? Working on this chakra will help you in these areas of your life.
Manipura/3rd Chakra- Solar Plexus
This chakra is known as "the place of gems". Think of this chakra as the sun (fire element) in your body. It is yellow in color located above your navel, below your chest.
One purpose of the solar plexus chakra is "transformation". It transform the power of earth and water into energy and power. Fire moves upward (from water chakra) to make heat and light. The fire is our will. Through the control of this chakra mastery and knowledge of the body are achieved. It encompasses finding our true power such as speaking up for yourself. The solar plexus chakra empowers you to follow and not be distracted from your true path. Your personal power resides here.
Fear, anxiety, introversion, lack of confidence, selfishness or low self esteem, difficulty making decisions, anger, stomach pain, digestive issues are side effects of imbalance. If you see yourself as a victim, or give your power away to others as you feel this is necessary to keep peace in relationships this is showing imbalance in this chakra. It doesn’t take much for the solar plexus chakra to become blocked or weakened. It may be a result of poor feedback, lack of affection, criticism, rejection, and being ignored or unappreciated. And whenever you feel the urge to brag about your accomplishments in front of others, STOP. Be humble. Instead, let your actions speak for themselves.
The glands that are associated with this chakra are the Islet of Langerhans (group of cells in the pancreas). So pancreas issues such as diabetes, liver disease, and stomach ulcers are a result of a blocked solar plexus chakra. The physical action is digestion, the mental action is power, the emotional is expansiveness, the spiritual action is growth and the physiological system is metabolism and digestion.
Anahata or 4th Chakra (Heart)
The fourth chakra has the name "unstruck note". It is located in the middle of the chest, working in conjunction with the thymus gland. It's glows a beautiful green and its fire is fueled by the love of creation. Unconditional love and compassion are the inner aspects of Anahata including self love and self acceptance. The key issues are passion, tenderness, inner child issues and rejection. If you are afraid of commitment and feel like you have to please others to be loved, if you have been hurt by others many times in relationships and now feel like you have to guard yourself from being hurt again, or if you hold grudges and become needy in relationships know your heart chakra needs to be balanced.
Physical Action is circulation, mental is passion, spiritual is devotion. Circulatory, lymphatic and immune are the physiological system of the heart chakra.
Vishudda- 5th chakra or Throat Chakra
Vishudda means to purify. This chakra is an important bridge in the chakra system from the root to the crown, because it takes us from the body into the spiritual rhelms. "The river of life". Turquoise is this chakras color. The element is sound. Self expression, communication and will are the key issues with the throat chakra . It is located in the center of the throat between the collarbone and larynx. The thyroid and parathyroids are the glands associated here as well as the jaw, neck, mouth, tongue, ears and larynx. Communication and fluent thought is the key physical and mental act associated with Vishudda. The physiological system is the respiratory system.
Do you speak your truth or are you afraid to speak up and say what you want or feel? When someone is talking to you, can you truly and deeply listen without giving advice (unless they ask)? The ability to do so shows a balanced chakra.
Ajna, 6th Chakra- Third Eye (Brow)
The word Ajna means servant or command in the sense of the Gurus command of spiritual guidance. It's element is light. Known as the"ocean of nectar" This chakras color is deep blue. Balancing the higher\lower selves and trusting inner guidance are the key issues. This chakra is located in the center of the brow. The pineal gland and pituitary gland are related to this chakra. Inner aspect is intuition. Emotional action is clarity and spiritual action is meditation. The endocrine and nervous systems are the physiological system of this chakra. Ajna is balanced when your intuition is your constant guide that you trust and act on with confidence. When the third eye is open the soul becomes involved. You feel hunches or a subtle feelings. If you are confused, you can connect to your intuition to in order to help you make the right choice.
Sahasrara, 7th Chakra- Crown
Sahasrara "a thousand petals" the color violet is assigned to the crown. The element is thought. It is a place of pure consciousness. It combines the energies of the masculine and feminine. Inner wisdom and death of the body are key issues here. The crown chakra is located on the top of the head. pineal and pituitary glands are this chakras. The inner aspect is release of karma. Meditation is the physical action, mental action is beingness , spiritual is unity through transcendual consciousness. The central nervous system and the brain are this chakras physiological system. When balanced, life will become less about you and more about serving others because when you serve others, you are serving yourself. There is a sense of divine connection.
If you feel lonely, materialistic, cannot meditate or feel life is meaningless this chakra is blocked. Brain/Upper Brain, Brain Stem, Cerebral Cortex, Central Nervous System/Pineal Gland, Pituitary, Right Eye, Spinal Cord are body parts corresponding to the crown.
Have you truly allowed yourself to be open to the universal energy?
Soul Star, 8th Chakra (above the crown chakra)
This is the gateway to our soul. It connects us to our higher selves feeding through the knowledge, love, guidance, and healing power that light our souls! The Soul Star Chakra is all about letting go and allowing divine light to fill your life. It represents divine love, spiritual selflessness, spiritual compassion and divine unity. It is also connected with the origin of ascension and enlightenment. It is our connection to the galaxy above and gives information from the galactic source to our awakened soul. It is located about 8" above the head inline with the crown with a golden violet colored energy. In return for the information from the sources above, the awakened soul transmits thought forms back to the source while still alive. When death happens a seed of the enlightened being remains in the soul star. Ancient people said the dead became stars in the sky,' while their bodies may die, the soul never would".
There are many ways to balance (correct, fix ) the chakras. One way to balance is through food . Your body needs good food fresh and unprocessed. So how we keep our chakra system in peek performance is to eat foods that mirror the colors of the chakra colors. Colors have vibraton, when you look at them or think them your whole vibration is changing. That goes with food too. It will change the vibrational energy of our blood that the cells can absorb. Example- green foods for your heart chakra salad veggies, spinach lettuce cabbage broccoli etc... help the heart and cleans the body. So eating good is half the battle. Other methods are Reiki, yoga ,reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation, kinesiology, colors, crystals, mantras and sounds and many other methods can balance your system by vibration in each its own way. Everything works by vibration. Om is the vibration of the earth, we are a vibration. Your body will talk to you before it screams, so listen carefully.
During reiki or soul retrieval, I am always working with chakras. Whether I can see what your body is holding on to or what pieces of your chakra or soul others have from you, the universe helps me help you feel whole and balanced. It's important to heal and feel good.
Be blessed
